Refund & Returns Policy

Effective Date: 1 July 2026

At SHARP-AZ Co., we stand behind the quality of our products. This Refund & Returns Policy is designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applies to all purchases made through our website.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Returns:

If you wish to return a product, you must contact SHARP-AZ Co. within 30 days of receiving your order.

Products being returned must:

Be unused and in their original condition.
Be returned in their original packaging where possible.
Include proof of purchase.
Not have been modified, damaged, or misused.

Return postage for change-of-mind purchases is the responsibility of the customer.

Change of Mind:

We do not offer refunds for change of mind once a product has been used.

Unused products in their original condition may be eligible for a refund or store credit at our discretion. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Chainsaw Chains:

Due to the nature of chainsaw chains, refunds or replacements will not be provided where:

The chain has been used.
Incorrect sharpening methods have been used.
The chain has been damaged through misuse, impact with rocks, metal, fencing wire, nails, or other foreign objects.
The chain has been fitted incorrectly or used on an unsuitable saw or guide bar.
Normal wear from use has occurred.

If a manufacturing defect is identified before or during normal use, please contact us with clear photographs and a description of the issue for assessment.

Guide Bars:

Guide bars may be returned if they are faulty or have a manufacturing defect.

Guide bars will not be refunded where damage has resulted from:

Incorrect chain tension.
Lack of lubrication.
Overheating.
Excessive wear.
Misuse or accidental damage.

240V Electric Chainsaw Sharpeners:

Electric sharpeners are covered by Australian Consumer Law.

If your sharpener arrives faulty or develops a manufacturing fault under normal use, we will repair, replace, or refund the product where required by law.

This does not cover:

Damage caused by incorrect voltage or power supply.
Abuse, misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.
Normal wear items.
Damage resulting from modifications or unauthorised repairs.

The sharpener must not be modified, as this may void any applicable warranty.

Diamond Grinding Discs:

Diamond grinding discs are considered consumable items.

Refunds or replacements are only available where the disc:

Arrives damaged.
Has a manufacturing defect.

Normal wear from sharpening, incorrect installation, overheating, misuse, or accidental damage is not covered.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders:

If you receive the wrong item or your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

Your order number.
A description of the issue.
Clear photographs of the product and packaging.

We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Return Shipping:

Where a return is approved due to a manufacturing fault or our error, SHARP-AZ Co. will arrange or reimburse reasonable return postage costs.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Refund Processing:

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method. Depending on your financial institution, refunds may take 3–10 business days to appear.
