To choose the right chain, match all three: pitch, gauge, and drive links.
Pitch options are:
3/8, 3/8lp, .325, and .404
Gauge options are:
.043 .050 .058 and .063
Drive links e.g.(DL)are the exact count for your bar, and they must match.
Examples are:
3/8lp .050 56DL
.325 .040 72DL
.404 .063 with the drive link count set to the bar.
Note that carbide-tipped chains use the same sizing as standard chains
